The Cosmic Cowgirls comprise a revolutionary membership-based publishing house owned by girls and women worldwide, headquartered in the United States. It is our purpose to empower one another to live legendary lives.
Twenty-five Founding Mamas founded Cosmic Cowgirls on January 23, 2006 in San Francisco, California. This vision was born out of a ten-year project of art and publishing called Color of Woman. The Founder, Reverend Shiloh Sophia McCloud, has worked with her husband, Isaiah McCloud, in the sacred arts movement through their gallery, Wisdom House, for the past thirteen years. She has published five journals and taught thousands of women about creativity as a path of personal transformation and as a spiritual practice. She brings her passionate work and research in this field to the platform of Cosmic Cowgirls. Her desire is to expand this Ministry to include the voices and visions of those who are also committed to this work.
The focus of this work is the gathering of women’s collective wisdom to be shared through the collaborative creation of products such as: art, cards, music, DVDs, film, coloring books, journals, workbooks and workshops designed to inspire, inform and illuminate the journey of a woman’s life. Each of us has a story to share that can empower and bless other women going through similar experiences. For example:
What if the suffering we have experienced could be transformed into medicine and healing for other women? What if our experiences could be used to ignite and support the success and prosperity of other women? What if women were actually able to financially support themselves through their creativity and teach others to do so? What if we have done enough healing work to enable ourselves and others to get on with the work of the visionary within each of us?
Each of us is a Visionary with a calling and a purpose to fulfill – turning our lives into becoming our own legend. Cosmic Cowgirls offers the opportunity to answer that call in the company of other women involved in this extraordinary work throughout the world. Regardless of your interests, expertise, or current life work, there is a place for you here with the tribe of the Cosmic Cowgirls. We are the women who dance between the worlds with our bare feet in the grassroots, a song in our hearts and our head in the stars. We plan to meet for the next one hundred years and beyond, guided by the spirit of love, wisdom, and celebration! We are causing a revolution! We are creating a legacy!
