I have been doing this work - for what it seems like, is a LONG TIME. Since my first art show fifteen years ago until now I have done alotta stuff - cheif of which is that I have made my living as an artist. I have really just begun to do my work - and I have even yet to seek press or media or recognition in the normal sense. If it happened, fine. If not - fine too. I have just been going along my merry way and selling tons of work and attending tons of events and hosting tons of projects and collaborating with WONDEFUL folks like Alice Walker, SARK, Marc Allen, Judy Grahn, Jennifer Berezan and others all along the way. And. I have not promoted myself to the media in any traditional sense.  And so - at 11 pm tonight, which is March 31, I decided to do a "google myself" campaign to see if I had any press.

Well...not much in the normal sense - but interesting things popped up - and things which made me laugh, like being a favorite artist of a topless dancer. LIke being in a contest for best art of a woman, competing with the Mona Lisa and Flaming June. Like, blogs people wrote about me, that I never knew about, like pages from all over the world with my quotes and images on them.  And so - since I don't have much "normal" press, and being that I have never prided myself on fitting in, my press page won't be like normal. It will be like me. Unique. Inventive. non-uniform. Unexpected.

I plan to continue to google myself and my wackadoodle on-line resume and will upate this with various menu items as they appear as specials of the day.  Or, you can just do it yourself, go ahead, google me!
